As a professional tracking dog handler, you’re on the front lines of one of the most important — and often least understood — parts of the hunt: the recovery.

We’re producing a new video series called the K9 Heroes of the Whitetail Woods that follows tracking teams like yours as you take the call, work the trail, and help hunters recover their deer. But we’re going a step further — at the end of each track, we’ll assess the shot and analyze the recovery, using real-world examples to better educate bowhunters on shot placement, tracking decisions, and ethical recovery.

We’re seeking experienced tracking dog handlers who are open to having a small camera crew (1-2 people) quietly tag along on select tracks this fall. We’ll be respectful of the hunt, the hunter, and your process. You’ll have full input on which tracks we join and how we tell the story.
